Sorry about the problem you encountered and thanks for your patience.

Now, you should be able to add job and upload files. Maker Web Service is
not entirely
ready  but main functionality like uploading a file, constituting a job
and downloading annotated file is working properly.

The reason you were not able to add a job is interesting. Some javascript
function was not being fired
Due to some Œtexts¹ which supposed to appear when you have no job(job<0),
that evidently
Broke the javascript call.

Any way, this is still in baby steps and I personally expecting some more
problems like the one you had.
But you should be good to go  as far as adding job and downloading the
result. 

You had also mentioned about some class room teaching that  you were trying
to explore. 
When does that class start?  Is there anything you need help with other than
using MWS :) ?
 I would be able to complete the rest of the work by end of this week.

So following things are not functional
1. Uploading a compressed file(one or more file archived in one bundle ) is
being implemented, so will not work
2. After finished maker job, view result in  genome browser, also being
implemented
3. A separate file validator is also being implemented and not functional
