About Mark Yandell:

Mark Yandell received his Ph.D. (Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology) from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1996. He spent three years at the Genome Sequencing Center at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, where amongst other things he was partially responsible for PolyBayes. He then spent three years at Celera Genomics where he led the Annotation Software Research and Development group. From 2002-2004 Mark was a Senior Scientist with HHMI at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2004 he joined the Faculty of the Eccles Institute of Human Genetics at the University of Utah.
